The railway changed in August 2025
Kluang station sits on the West Coast Line and was rebuilt in December 2024, then electrified on 23 August 2025 as the Gemas–Johor Bahru double-tracking project completed. ETS trains now serve it. That is the single biggest structural change to this town in a generation.

How good is the train connection from Kluang?
Much better than it was. Kluang station is on the KTM West Coast Line and sits centrally in Kluang town, about four kilometres from Taman Mengkibol. It was rebuilt with elevated tracks and high-level platforms in December 2024 and electrified on 23 August 2025, which completed the Gemas to Johor Bahru double-tracking and electrification project.
ETS services now call at Kluang, running south toward Johor Bahru Sentral and north toward Kuala Lumpur. For a town of this size that is a substantial upgrade, and it is the main infrastructure argument for buying in Kluang at all.
